Apple's Touchscreen MacBook to Be Unveiled on October 27

Apple is preparing its second product event in October. According to gsmarena.com, engadget.com, and bloomberg.com, it is set to take place on October 27, or around that date. The main highlight is expected to be the first touchscreen MacBook, along with a new iPad mini with an OLED display and updated iMac and 14-inch MacBook Pro models with M6 chips.

Touchscreen MacBook and other news

For the laptops, there is talk of 14-inch and 16-inch versions of the MacBook Pro with an OLED display and a Dynamic Island element. According to information circulating about the upcoming event, they are supposed to be significantly lighter than current models.

Sources differ on the chips. According to Engadget, the new machines could be powered by the same M5 Pro and M5 Max chips as before, because the professional version of the M6 chip may not yet exist. gsmarena.com and bloomberg.com, by contrast, mention a touchscreen MacBook with M6 chips in general.

The iPad mini will get an OLED screen, a relocated FaceTime camera, and a redesigned speaker system. The new iMac and the base 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip are, according to available reports, expected to look similar to the current versions.

Two dates during October

For Apple, this is not the only event in this period. As early as October 13, it will hold an event dedicated to the smart home and devices for this segment. gsmarena.com, engadget.com, and bloomberg.com all agree on this.

According to information about the upcoming event, the October 27 presentation is set to include an online video presentation as well as an in-person portion for journalists.
