Apple Event September 2026: iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max with A20 Pro Chip
According to NDTV, both premium models will feature the A20 Pro chip and Apple's own C2 modem. The main camera is expected to offer a variable aperture. Based on available information, the Dynamic Island will shrink by 35 percent, and new colors, including burgundy, will be introduced. The Pro model's price is estimated to start between $1,199 and $1,399.
iPhone Ultra: The First Foldable iPhone for Over $2,000
The iPhone Ultra is, according to Wired and NDTV, the anticipated name for Apple's first foldable phone. Based on available information, it will be a book-style foldable with an external display of about 5.4 inches and an internal 7.8-inch panel. The device is said to use Touch ID instead of Face ID and will offer two rear cameras-a main and an ultra-wide-without a telephoto lens, NDTV reports.
According to NDTV, the iPhone Ultra will feature an advanced hinge and, when folded, will be roughly the size of a passport. iOS 27 is expected to support split-screen multitasking, NDTV adds.
What Else Apple Has in Store
According to Wired and NDTV, the event is expected to feature the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. NDTV also mentions AirPods 5, a new Apple TV, and a HomePod mini with a faster processor for Siri AI.
The base iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 are expected to be delayed to early 2027, according to Wired and Daily Mail. The reason is said to be a memory crisis and higher production costs, Wired reports. Pre-orders could begin on September 12, a day later than usual, out of respect for the victims of 9/11, according to Wired.
The event will be live-streamed on Apple's website, YouTube, Apple TV devices, and Apple TV+, according to Wired and Daily Mail. Analyst Paolo Pescatore of PP Foresight told Daily Mail: "Apple events typically do not disappoint, and expectations will be sky-high this time around."
